Aston Villa V Man Utd Match Review

Another day, another match. After a convincing performance, and win over that ungrateful egocentric King, the lads are travelling to Birmingham and Villa Park to play Aston Villa.

After some whacks, knocks and tight calves, Aston Villa have both Mings and Grealish back training and playing against us tonight. They’ve had a rough start since the PL resumption, with two draws and three losses, the latest a 2-0 loss to Liverpool. Although they lost against L’pool, they fought hard and have also taken a point from us at Old Trafford earlier this season. I also think they’re pretty keen on moving up from that 18th spot and out of the relegation zone, meaning we shouldn’t underestimate them. ⁣

We also have a lot to play for, and shouldn’t lack motivation nor desire to win. By winning the rest of our games and getting maximum points, the CL spot is ours even without the help from City’s cheating.

Although this is an away game, because they’re playing for empty stands, I feel we have the advantage. “Smaller/lower tier” clubs need to feed off of the crowds energy and rely on support from fans to a larger extent. Especially when for example being down a goal chasing an equaliser. ⁣

Except Lindelöf having to go off after a back problem, making him doubtful ahead of today’s clash, everyone is fit and available. Ole can choose from players that’s already impressed and proved themselves, like Bruno and Pogba, or players bursting with energy ready to show their worth, like McTominay. ⁣

Early goal, destroy their spirit and make this the 21st unbeaten away game against The Claret & Blue army.
